Congrats To Steve Goerger!
Steve Goerger made the notable stories list. Congrats!
Explanation
So basically I’ve been busy with life and that’s why I’ve neglected the issues as regards them going into other formats. I’ve also neglected other responsibilities. This is because I’ve been busy with life. Also, we launched two new projects — freshletters and TWAK — and so that ate a considerable chunk of my time there for awhile as well. But now...

the shape of things to come
Hello loyal readers!
Just wanted to drop in and let you know that there are two new litareview renditions forthcoming:
One, of course you’ve probably already heard, is paper litareview.
The other will be ambulamus litareview, the mobile application-based thrice-monthly. Everything is in the works, dear.
Skipping
Dear Reader,
dispatch will not be publishing an issue on the 15th of March. Sometimes you just need time to think and breathe.
Writers are encouraged to submit work during this extended lull. Responses to current submissions will be sent out this week.
Thank you.

Curiously
The thing I have trouble understanding, as an editor and purveyor of content, is users who want to go around something as simple as a counter script. I’m no longer upset about it, but I do wonder. Here are the facts from the server and the facts which I’ve shown to the world until now, when I’ll manually update them:
As you can see, there is a deficit here of 178 between...

It’s true that when editing a dispatch I often feel like I’m composing for the world’s greatest orchestra.

Dig it here. Some are too hot for the flickr gallery. Thanks.

Nudity, France, and Music
dispatch thirteen has arrived to a largely silent reception party.
It is the first issue to feature a song in addition to the story. It won’t be the last. Unless something goes wrong, it’s going to be a regular feature. Surely my peers will start to do this before long, and surely they won’t credit me for the idea, and who really cares anyway?
The song is...

Brief Summarization of the Anonymity Debate
Concern has arisen about the rickshaw and ridiculous nature of anonymous editorial boards. I doubt this is the first time, but it seems word gets around faster these days, and though dispatch will always be the last to jump on a trend without a legitimate reason, I do feel this is a worthwhile cause: we will not be fooled by you bastards.
It’s shot through the literary world like a damn...

If dispatch were to create a Facebook app/game, what would it do? This can be done. Let me know. -PHM

On the Art of Figuring Out Digital Publishing
So after some months struggling with eCub, I’ve finally unearthed and put to work a much better program called Sigil.
I know I too often sing the praises of the open source software community, but Sigil does happen to be open source (as does nearly every other program I’ve used so far in the publishing and perfecting of dispatch). Now compare the picture to the left to the picture...

In my beginning is my end. In succession
Houses rise and fall, crumble, are extended,
Are removed, destroyed, restored, or in their place
Is an open field, or a factory, or a by-pass.
Old stone to new building, old timber to new fires,
Old fires to ashes, and ashes to the earth
Which is already flesh, fur and faeces,
Bone of man and beast, cornstalk and leaf.
Houses live and...

The Leaders of Men
dispatch litareview is listening to Joy Division until something changes. Doors are constantly slamming and people are constantly pounding on them.
I am editing the next story. It’s pretty fantastic, full-throttle. I’m just bringing it to its fullest potential.
Do a favor by me and subscribe to the mailing list. Just drop a note to subscribe@litareview.com and it will do the rest for...
Possibility of a Culture Editor
I’ve been thinking about the possibility of a culture editor. Her or his job would be simple but it would be constant. Get in touch if you think you’re always on top of books, film, music, and doings.
Free stuff coming soon.
tumblreview now operational!
Yes, yes, yes.
After much time and effort, the tumblr of dispatch litareview now breathes like the rest of our projects. As you can see, it smoothly goes with the rest of the site. Be sure to follow!
Sincerely,
PHM

working..
So, I think it would be good for dispatch to get on this tumblr boat early. I’ll certainly be trying to work up a theme that works for this. One that goes in line with all the other themes. I still have to get the alumni blog theme up to par (which I think I finally figured out the problem), and then I can really worry about this. dispatch will be colonizing all the major and minor social...
